DALLAS, TX – The Northern Texas PGA is pleased to announce that Hanna Harrison has been hired as the Manager of Golf Park Programming. This is a new role that the NTPGA Board of Directors and executive staff spent time developing with the Northern Texas PGA’s upcoming move to Frisco in mind.
Harrison is a PGA Associate working toward her PGA Membership. In her new role, she will be involved in the responsibilities and operations that will lead to the overall success of the Golf Park and work alongside Chad Moscovic, PGA director of golf park programming for the NTPGA. These responsibilities include creating, planning, marketing/selling, budgeting and operating all programs at the Golf Park. Programming will include after school programs, summer camps, PGA Jr. League, early start programs for kids ages 3-5, home school programs during the day, parent/junior clinics, skills competitions, Drive, Chip & Putt, special needs programs and PGA HOPE.
“It is exciting to continue representing the NTPGA in this new role. I started out playing on the junior tour, then became an intern for multiple summers and now it will be a full circle moment by joining the full time staff and growing the game in a new way at a brand new facility,” said Hanna Harrison. “Through the internships I realized my passion for teaching kids the game of golf. I know what we teach them will stick with them for their whole lives.”
Harrison’s background includes playing on Dallas Baptist University’s Women’s Golf Team for five seasons and serving as Graduate Assistant Coach for one season. During her time at DBU, she helped lead them to the school’s first ever NCAA National Championship in 2021. Harrison was also a five-time WGCA All-American and collected Lone Star Conference Player of the Year honors in 2020 and 2021. She was named the Heartland Conference’s Freshman of the Year in 2017 and was twice named DBU’s Female Athlete of the Year, as well as being a five-time WGCA Academic All-American. Following her career at DBU, Harrison was named to the Arnold Palmer Cup Team representing the United States in 2021 and also competed in the U.S. Women’s Amateur. Since last year, Hanna has worked for Elite Level Golf, working with college coaches and junior golfers with camp programs around the country.
Harrison and Moscovic will conduct programming out of the Dr. Bill Blair and Randy Smith Who’s Next Pavilion and a 2-acre synthetic turf, lighted Golf Park. The purpose of the pavilion and the Golf Park is to expand the NTPGA Foundation’s community outreach and growth of the game programs.
“We are thrilled to welcome Hanna back to the Northern Texas PGA team,” said Mark Harrison (no relation to Hanna), Executive Director/CEO of the NTPGA. “Hanna has a passion for working with kids and growing the game. She and Chad are going to be an incredible one-two combo and I can’t think of two better representatives of the NTPGA and game to serve in this capacity.”
Hanna’s first day with the Northern Texas PGA is Thursday, September 1, 2022.
