Dallas, Texas – PGA TOUR professional and Fort Worth native Martin Flores continues his support of the NTPGA Junior Golf Foundation in 2018 by providing 60 NTPGA Junior Tour memberships to First Tee programs in North Texas and becoming the namesake of an All American Tour event to be conducted at Dallas Athletic Club in June. This is the fourth consecutive year that Flores has supported the NTPGA Junior Golf Foundation.
“Competing in NTPGA Junior Tour tournaments while growing up helped me develop my game over the years,” said Flores. “I have very fond memories playing all over North Texas in NTPGA Junior Tour events. Learning how to win at a local level is so valuable, and the NTPGA Junior Tour played an important role in getting me to where I am today.”
“Martin is one of the many former NTPGA Junior Tour members who have gone on to have great success, and we are so proud of him,” said Mark Harrison, Executive Director / CEO of the Northern Texas PGA. “It is an honor to have him support our Junior Tour and provide access to the game for so many aspiring junior golfers.”
The Martin Flores DAC Junior Open is a 36-hole, nationally ranked competition that annually hosts some of the most talented junior golfers in the state. It serves as a qualifier for Boys 13-18 for the Junior PGA Championships as well. This event will be played at Dallas Athletic Club on Monday, June 11 through Tuesday, June 12. Registration for the tournament is available at www.ntpgajuniorgolf.com.
